OAK FLOORING
Perhaps the most practically important aspect in commercial flooring is the type of wood flooring you choose.
Oak flooring is a popular option for most of our domestic and commercial clients as it provides excellent longevity and is easy to maintain.
Oak flooring is the core of our business, and we have extensive experience fitting oak floors as well as oak floor sanding. Oak is remarkably strong and has a very good shock resistance.

NATURAL OAK FLOORING
Natural Oak is also ideal for your home as it adds elegance to a room and enhances its character.
Available in different styles and widths, oak is equally suited to any interior style, whether classic or modern. Its innate durability makes oak flooring a timeless solution.
With over 14 years in the industry, CMT Wood Flooring only use reputable suppliers, such as Tarkett flooring, Junckers flooring and Boen. We can also advise you on what type of floor sealing is suitable for your floor.

BEECH FLOORING
For a welcoming, warm-looking, good mood-inspiring environment, beech is the right choice. Its subtle texture and beige to rose-tinted colour will warm the interior and make it look more inviting.
Beech flooring makes a very good asset because of its great aesthetics, reliable solidity and affordable pricing.
All our oak flooring comes sanded, and CMT Wood Flooring are always happy to offer guidance on the best way to maintain your wood flooring.

CHERRY FLOORING
Cherry flooring has unique characteristics and an authentic feel.
The colouring is a mixture of warm red and brown, making it a timeless classic, offering an unrivalled ambience and a welcoming feel.
It can be used for any room to create a look of elegance and demeanour.

Oak Flooring FAQs
Yes, we can refinish a number of species of timber flooring, such as: Beech, Maple, Pine, Muhuhu, Walnut, Teak, Sepele and Merbau to name a few. We also work closely with reclaimed flooring suppliers in sourcing these to enable us to repair and extend existing flooring.
Light furniture can be returned after 24 hours; heavier items such as sofas and bookcases after 48 hours. Leave rugs and mats off the floor for a full seven days to allow the finish to harden completely.
Prices start from £25 + VAT per m² for sanding and refinishing. After a free site survey, we’ll give you a fixed, itemised, quotation covering any repairs, staining or additional coats you request.
Very little. Our dust extraction captures a majority of airborne particles at source. Doorways can be sealed with plastic sheeting if required, and we vacuum and wipe work areas before we leave.
Yes. You can choose an oil, from manufacturers such as Osmo and Bona and we’ll recommend the best option based on sheen preference, foot traffic and maintenance routine.
For an average 25 m² room we allow two to three working days for acclimatisation, fitting and finishing, followed by 24 hours of curing time before light foot traffic.
Absolutely. We can source reclaimed or new solid or engineered oak in similar grain grades, then custom-tint the boards on site so colour and patina blend with the surrounding floor.
You need at least a 3 mm solid-oak wear layer. That thickness allows two full sanding and refinishing cycles over the floor’s life, giving you roughly 20–25 years of use before replacement might be required.
Engineered oak is generally the safer choice because its layered plywood core expands and contracts far less than solid timber when temperatures fluctuate. That stability reduces the risk of gaps, cupping or crowning and allows the heating system to run more efficiently without damaging the boards.
