Water‑based lacquers such as Bona Traffic HD are touch‑dry in around two hours and ready for light socks‑only traffic after four; we advise waiting a full 24 hours before dogs, cats or energetic toddlers return so the coating can reach its initial hardness. Oils cure more slowly: allow overnight drying before light use and 48 hours before dragging furniture or wheeled toys across the surface.
